We bought the house and took over the project, which was far from being completed. There were numerous unfinished things to repair and renovate. The walls were mostly just studs with no drywall. The floors were in bad shape, and one of the tubs was full of dead rats floating in stagnant water. Overall, the house was in need of major work to finish it and make it a usable home again.

On top of all the problems inside the house, Covid created problems getting permits quickly. The back deck required a permit, but it took several months to get the permit approved.

Hey, guys. Brent here with Resideum out at our project on Avon. Finally getting this one wrapped up so we can put it on the market. A lot has been done since the last time you all were here. So let’s go on in and we’ll take a look.

All right. We are in the family room/dining room. This is an open floor plan for this house. If you remember, this house had some sheet rock, but pretty much the house was gutted. No walls. It was just studs.

You’ll see all brand new floors, sheet rock, molding. The kitchen is probably the best part of this house. It’s huge. Brand new cabinets, countertops, appliances. Nice finish on this kitchen. This is actually my favorite part of the house.

And so we’ll walk through. To my right here is the first bedroom. You’ll notice again, difference. There’s now sheet rock on the walls. There’s now two closets in this bedroom. So, fairly decent.

This is the bathroom where there were rats in the old tub. That has been eradicated. There’s no more rats. Brand new shower, tile. Everything’s new in this house.

And right over here is the second bedroom. We actually made this closet a good bit larger and that’s in there.

As we’re walking through, you’ll probably notice there are some punch items that we are working on to get finished. There’s still some stuff that’s not all the way done. But all in all, the house is pretty much completed.

Now, this house has two bedrooms in the front. And then at the back of the house is the master suite. So as we’re walking to the back, this is the laundry room and the hallway. Fairly decent sized laundry room with the water heater in there. So you’ll have a full size washer and dryer, not just a stackable.

This is the back door to the deck. I’ll take you all outside and show you all what we’ve done out there.

And this is the master suite. So when we were here last, this was all studs. Nothing. It was just framed. New windows, light fixtures, all new floors.

There is a his and hers closet. Both are walk in.

And then back here is the master bath. Separate water closet. And as you come over here, double vanity, walk-in shower.

And then there’s a little nook over here where we will have some shelves. But again, if you pan over here, there’s nothing there. Still have a mirror we’ve got to get up. But this is the master bath.

All right. So we’ll go outside and I’ll show you what we’ve done out there. All in all, this house has a lot of nice finishes. I’m very pleased with how it’s turned out. If you remember, this house was a house owned by an investor that didn’t want to finish it or got in over their head to sell.

And we were able to come in and make this house what it is. If you are an investor and own a house that you don’t want to finish or not even an investor. If you’ve been working on your own house and you don’t want to finish it we’ll buy it and we’ll come in and we’ll pay you cash for it and we’ll turn it into something like this.

Hey, guys now we’re outside. A few things we tried to do out here to try to dress it up, make it more of a home and not just a house is we added these cedar planter boxes. We also did some landscaping adding some azaleas to the front and then we’ll take you around back where we actually added the deck which delayed our project a good bit because it took forever to get the permit just for the deck. So I’ll take you around there and show you the deck around back.

All right, guys, we’re around back now. This is the back deck that was added to the house. Took several months to get the permit. Delayed our job a little bit but all in all we still got the job completed in a reasonable amount of time. This is my favorite feature of the backyard is the deck. Sitting out here, nice relaxing evening maybe with a cold beer. Whatever you like to do this is going to be a great spot to be.

Fairly decent sized backyard. Not really a lot done back here. It was already cleared.
